IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (KDVR) — Local rafting guides are predicting a longer than usual whitewater rafting season in Colorado, thanks to Mother Nature.Sarah Callahan, with Colorado Adventure Center, said they started white water rafting tours down Clear Creek River last weekend.“This is one of our record-breaking seasons,” Callahan said. “Each month we are seeing more and more reservations of more people excited to come join the adventure.” Snowmelt could make rivers deeper, faster this kayak season She said all the snowmelt and recent spring storms are exactly what they’re looking for.“We’re really happy about how high the water is right now to offer great trips for these families," Callahan said. “With the snowpack we saw this year we’re looking to run it to August 20, maybe even longer.”Those levels are only expected to rise.“Our peak season is in the middle of June, so that’s when the water really starts to come faster and rise a lot more,” Callahan said. “Those water levels sta...Woman to sue Hinge over Denver doctor's alleged date rape

DENVER (KDVR) — There are new developments in the case of a Denver doctor accused of sexually assaulting 10 women he met online. Stephen Matthews was charged with 16 felonies. FOX31 learned one of the victims is planning to sue the popular dating app Hinge.The age of dating has transformed into swiping left or right, but who is the person behind the profile that you're chatting with or meeting up with? DENVER (KDVR) -- A liquor store owner is seeking help to catch thieves who broke into his store twice in two days and were caught on surveillance video.Craft-Y Beer Wine & Liquor, located at 24300 E. Smoky Hill Rd. in Aurora, was broken into and robbed overnight on Wednesday and Thursday. The owner provided FOX31 with three surveillance videos showing two people forcing their way into the store and taking merchandise out. A man from Miami-Dade County is opening up about his terrifying encounter with a bull shark while spearfishing off the coast of Marathon. Twenty-year-old Kevin Blanco spoke to 7News from his hospital bed at Jackson South Medical Center on Friday.“I’ve been in the water a very long time. I’ve never seen a shark act like this,” he said.According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Blanco was bitten by the marine predator at around 3 p.m., Thursday. Blanco relived his life-threatening experience with a bull-shark that left him with gashes and deep cuts to his leg. Crews came to the rescue of two dogs after a fire broke out inside a home in Fort Lauderdale.Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene of the blaze along the 1300 block of Northwest 19th Avenue, at around 7:30 p.m., Friday.Officials said firefighters were able to knock down the flames. Police seek the public’s help in finding a 40-year-old man who was reported missing from Southwest Miami-Dade. According to Miami-Dade Police, Shelove Volmy was last seen in the area of the 16500 block of Southwest 107th Court, Friday evening. Volmy stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs around 175 pounds, has black eyes and is bald.He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt with a multi-color emblem in the front, as well as black and white sneakers. He was carrying coloring books at the time of his disappearance. Detectives said Volmy may also be in need of services.
