Wrecktangle Pizza bringing new concept to St. Paul in space next to Palace Theatre

The restaurant space that used to house Wild Tymes on West Seventh Place in downtown St. Paul has been empty since 2017, with promises that the company behind The Palace Theatre and First Avenue, which is leasing the space, would open a new restaurant.Five years and a pandemic later, we finally have an announcement: Wrecktangle Pizza will move in with a new concept they’re calling Wrestaurant at the Palace.The new spot, which will open sometime this summer, will offer classic Wrecktangle Detroit-style pizzas, sandwiches and slices, but will also introduce new dishes and a cocktail menu. NORTH ELBA, N.Y. (NEWS10) - On Saturday, April 1, New York State Forest Rangers responded to a request for aid near the Adirondack Loj campground, near Nye Mountain and Mt. Van Hoevenberg. Around 7:30 p.m., rangers were brought into contact with a group of four hikers who were stuck at Indian Pass Brook. The hikers were trapped on their way back to the Adirondack Loj by water from a swollen stream, with water running at chest height, and the group had been unable to find an alternate route around the deep and swift water.The hikers ended up staying in place for some time. Rangers advised the group to make a fire and wait for their assistance, as warm daytime temperatures gave way to evening numbers in the teens. The Endure Skatepark is holding a soft opening on Saturday, April 8 from noon to 6 p.m. for monthly members and volunteers. HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Nine school districts in Washington County received bomb threats early April 4, 2023; putting the schools and Sheriff’s Office on high alert. Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy said the threats were demanding a ransom and that bombs were placed in school buildings. None of these threats were credible. Murphy said they take each threat seriously, sweeping each building with K-9s trained to sniff out explosives. Update: The Amber Alert has been canceled. The child has been found safe. The suspect is still at-large. ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert Tuesday morning after a van was stolen with a one-year-old child inside. A notification was sent to many mobile devices. The alert was canceled after around 15 minutes after the child was found safe.Police are asking the public to help them find a silver 2019 Dodge Caravan with Missouri license plate ID GJ5N2D. It does not have a front license plate. The van was recently seen in the 1100 block of Bardot Street in St. Clair, Missouri. It was parked with the victim inside. The 403 fire smoldering in forests and meadows in Park and Teller counties has burned 1,518 acres and federal officials on Tuesday pushed back their estimated date for putting it out for lack of sufficient firefighters.The fire likely won’t be fully contained until Friday “due to limited crew availability,” according to the latest U.S. Forest Service bulletin on the status of that fire, which broke out on Thursday on private property southwest of the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.Light snow overnight helped ground crews snuff hot spots Tuesday morning and the fire was listed as 60% contained.
